So I finally tired of hearing how great one scanner was over another, how bad mine was at scanning one thing while being ok at scanning something else, and generally wondering whether or not what I was seeing on screen was actually what was on my negatives.
This weeks photos are from a series I did way, way back (the first actual project I ever shot), during a KKK protest/rally in Ann Arbor, MI.
You think we, as photographers, can all agree, collectively, to stop referring to a slide or transparency as a “tranny?”
This past weekend I went to a photographic career workshop at UC Berkeley, put together by [Fotovision](http://www.fotovision.org), a local photography collective. The instructors were Ken Light and Ellen Manchester. It was a whirlwind of information, more of a cram session over three days than an actual class. These are my somewhat disjointed notes from the seminar, the bits that really stuck out for me.
I went to a photographic career seminar this past weekend at UC Berkeley. Pretty interesting stuff, a little bit too much talk about digital vs. film, but whatever. I’ll try and compile my notes into something readable and post them on [Text](/text/) soon.
