The Treemeat you know is done. He’s ran off with a sexy little blogging system called Tumblr, and started calling himself blog.peterbaker.net...
Out with the old, in with the new I guess.
This is to the few of you still visiting this site.
You may have noticed things have taken a nosedive in the posting department here. My planned two month hiatus was supposed to be coming to an end with a new site and renewed vigor, but best laid plans, etc etc.
What with the general decline in photoblogging (thanks Flickr), it just hasn’t seemed worth putting new stuff up here. Combine that with a general decline in my dicking-around-online-time, and a lot of care and feeding for other people’s sites (read: work), and it all adds up to a lack of caring and feeding of any of my own.
Also, I’ve moved, from Berkeley to Ann Arbor, basically the same town, just different geography. So that’s not helped the previously mentioned dicking-around-online-time either.
One silver lining though; I have been shooting a lot. And I have been posting a bit, but on Flickr, so look there for new stuff.
I will be getting my act together soon, as I’m sure the Michigan winter will be helping me with that time-inside thing. Of course, snow is fun too, so we’ll see.
Hey hey whatdoyou say?
Going on a holiday.
We’re pulling up stakes here in California, heading to that big mitten in the East; Michigan.
Elevated Works is moving operations to Ann Arbor, MI. But before that, we need some away time from the computer, so we’re going on a Road Trip.
2-3 weeks and 3,700 hundred miles of Pacific Coastline, Goonies locations, National Parks, back roads, Bad Lands, Corn Palaces, and picture taking (natch).
We expect to be up and running normal again by mid-September. But elevatedworks.com and treemeat.com will likely remain in hiatus, while a massive restructuring takes place (ElevatedWorks.com hasn’t been touched in two years. I’m kind of amazed we’ve stayed in business). While I’m in no means looking forward to leaving California, I’m really excited about moving back east. Good things to come, the next year will be big.
Flickr will likely be the only place I’ll be updating for a little while, so check it out. (Oh, and comments are closed here at Treemeat, can’t deal with the comment spam anymore. So comment at Flickr if you’re in to that sort of thing.)
