Recap for My Own Posterity

Since my memory is fading fast and hard, I think it’d be good for me to recap what happened last year…

  • Had a small show at Landmark Arts Gallery in Chicago
  • Started Treemeat.com, reinvigorating my love of photography
  • Picked up a Hasselblad 500cm and started shooting medium format film, reinvigorating my love of good photography
  • My parents merged their companies, Riverbend Timber Framing (site by me) and Insulspan, with some of our [neighors to the north](http://www.pfbcorp.com/), after 26 years of working their asses off. This brings them closer to actually being able to retire, and makes sure that I won’t be able to get my sawdust cleaning job back.
  • Left my job at the company I helped start three years earlier
  • Moved to San Francisco, finally catching back up with Michelle after she ditched me and Chicago for warmer climes the summer before.
  • Started Elevated Works a small (as you can get) web design company
  • Partnered up with some old friends, in order to take over the design world
  • Michelle’s dad went in and came out of the hospital, Big scare, big relief.
  • Moved to Berkeley, CA. Was forced to grow my beard longer.

Wow, nothing like putting what seemed like a significant year into a list like that to make it seem like nothing much happened.
