I’m taking off for Miami tonight, for the M3 Miami Music Multimedia Summit. My partners in design and I have been working on the site, identity, signage, and all things aesthetic for the week long event, and now we shall drink heavily and wake up with sand in our drawers.
I’ll also be doing as much shooting as physically possible while I’m there (barring too many beachcombers), and I wanted to be sure I had everything I’d need. The OCD inside me snuck through my usual slacker facade and I managed to lay everything out just so.

In some kind of left-to-right order (taken with a camera phone, so pardon the craptasticness):
- Grey card
- Collapsable reflector
- Lens wipe
- 12” PowerBook (seen better days)
- PDN
- Case for light meter
- Sigma lens case that fits the Hasselblad 40mm perfectly
- Travel tripod (just got this, we’ll see it it’ll hold up)
- iPod photo camera connector, on top of Canon 20D usb cable
- Canon 20D, 17-40mm L lens
- Canon 420ex flash
- Canon 50mm f1.8 lens
- Cable releases (20D and regular plunger type), and egg timer
- iPod Photo 60gb
- 12” Firewire cable and Firewire-to-Dock adapter (so I only need one cable for all Firewire needs)
- 6 rolls of T-Max 400 for my new favorite camera
- New favorite camera; Olympus Stylus Epic point-and-shoot
- Hasselblad 40mm Distagon lens
- Hasselblad 500cm with 80mm Planar lens and A12 film back
- Sekonic L-508 light meter
- 5 rolls of Kodak 400NC, 7 rolls of Kodak 160NC, 1 roll of Kodak Plus X 125 (had that forever)
- Crumpler bag that in the darkness binds them
Here’s hoping I come back with something worth the schlepping of all this crap.
